Make it Rain

No literally, I made it rain. I have seen so many amazing photos that photographers took in the rain. Whether or not they really were in the rain, or if they edited in the rain, the photos regardless are incredible. I’m too scared to actually take my camera out in the rain so I decided to get a bit more creative with this. I put my brain together with my dad and we came up with this crazy looking contraption that was going to essentially be my rain cloud. This idea came to me right at the beginning of quarantine. I had just finished college as this covid pandemic took over the world and was itching to take some photos. My dad was probably just as excited about this idea as I was. Since everything had shut down, we needed this excitement. After building it we needed to decide on the setting of the sprinkler, then adjust my camera settings to fit accordingly to what we were working with. I won’t lie I was a bit skeptical on if this would actually work. I didn’t know if the pictures would actually turn out the way I was thinking they would in my head. I kept an open mind though as I jumped right under the sprinkler and began shooting. To my surprise the photos actually came out better than I could have even imagined. So go us dad!

The setup like I said, looked insane. My dad took a ladder, a sprinkler, put them together and there you have it. A man made raincloud
